I haven't had a chance to post since we returned from our trip to Boston. We had a bit of a bumpy landing since we were on the tail end of Ernesto, but once we got there the trip was great. We did some sightseeing...the Freedom Trail, harbor cruise, Boston Gardens...also caught a game at Fenway Park and had one of the best meals of my life in the North End at a great Italian restaurant. We also went up to Rockport to the beach and had a visit with my mother in the Berkshires. We mainly went to see my daughter who is working and going to school there. She has a great apartment and is very happy. I miss her ...it's pretty far away from Oregon...but that's life! We also have a little grand-kitty who is just adorable. We were lucky to have a friend take care of our furbabies while we were gone so they didn't have to get boarded. They were very happy to see us thought...we usually take them everywhere with us so this was quite a change.
We did have a bit if excitement the night we left. We were walking to the train station to get the train to the airport when we noticed a fire under one of the porches in our complex. No-one was home, so my hubby raced up and managed to put out the fire. We were almost to the train by the time the firemen got there. I guess God puts us where we are supposed to be!
